A Great Entry Level Treadmill for Beginners

The Bowflex 3 series treadmill has a sleek design.  Its stylish and compact.  Of course, you can't judge a treadmill by its appearance.  What you really want to look for is if it will deliver a good workout for you in a comfortable manner.  Does the Bowflex 3 series treadmill accomplish this?  That's what we will discuss in this review.

As far as entry-level treadmills go, the Bowflex 3 series treadmill comes with a pretty decent price tag, usually under $1000.  Many websites offer financing and if you have good credit you can set up monthly payment installments as low as $15 each month.  This makes it a very affordable treadmill.  How about its effectiveness?

I personally was very satisfied with the six different programs that were included with the treadmill.  Not only is there a cardio program, fat burning program, but there is my two personal favorites -- a speed interval program and a hill interval program.

I will not lie to you -- these interval programs are a bit intense and are not for the casual exerciser.  However, I have noticed that with this treadmill I have been able to get an even greater workout, in terms of burning fat and calories, without feeling like I'm exuding any more effort.  For me alone this makes the treadmill well worth it.

Of course, you can design your own programs with the manual program setting.

I've told people for years that they should never buy a treadmill unless it has some sort of heart rate monitoring system with it.  This one has the very convenient grip heart rate monitoring system.  This is a perfect way to monitor the intensity of your workout as well as to mark your progress.

Finally, what will you do with the Bow flex 3 series after you are finished using it?  Well, it's easy to move so that it doesn't get in the way.  Simply fold it up into its compact form, and use the built in wheels to move it to your desired location.

You will not wear this machine out very easily.  It has a motor that has 1.75 hp, and a walking surface that is 20" x 54".  I'm a big fan of large belts, and Bowflex definitely delivers on this end.

In conclusion, I definitely would recommend the Bowflex 3 series treadmill to the beginner who is looking to get into the world of home fitness and exercise equipment.
